| Description: | Expression of Interest: Consultant for Operation and maintenance specialist The knowledge and support ta will support the pacific water and wastewater utilities in mainstreaming resilient and sustainable operations by convening high-level championing and promoting collaborative management of water and wastewater management in the pacific region. The ta will use pacific water and wastewater association (pwwa) as a platform to conduct pacific partnership on-the-job training (ojt) and teaching to build expertise and capacities at the utility level. The ta will be aligned with the following impact: safe and sustainable water services in pacific dmcs delivered. The ta will have the following outcome: urban water and sanitation service operational performance and capacity in pacific dmcs improved. The ta will take a sector-level regional approach to help address enduring capacity constraints by conducting the pacific island partnership ojt. The ta will coordinate with and complement other ongoing capacity building activities under adb technical assistance and projects. Adb will collaborate with development partners, civil society organizations, and non-governmental organizations to scale up capacity and performance improvement of urban services providers. Scope of Work: For this assignment, pauw requires a qualified water and wastewater utility operation and maintenance specialist to lead and deliver 3 key outputs:1. Assist the urban water utility expert to conduct an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (swot) of participating utilities. 2. Provide technical inputs in the review, design and implementation of a pacific island partnership on-the-job training. 3. Provide technical backstopping in the preparation of the pwwa annual conference and ministerial meetingsthe consultant will coordinate with the pwwa secretariat in the conduct of related review of relevant benchmarking data and relevant reports, consultation with the participating utilities and sector stakeholders and conduct of the trainings. Adb will liaise with the secretariat on the planning and preparation of the annual conference and ministerial meetings.
