We are excited to announce that Advario, JTC, and VFlowTech have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to scale up Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) technology on Jurong Island. This collaboration represents a significant milestone towards Singapore’s low-carbon energy future as Jurong Island evolves into a sustainable energy and chemicals park.
Through this MOU, VFlowTech will utilize Advario's tank infrastructure to scale VRFB technology to 40MWh—enough to power over 3,000 4-room public housing flats in Singapore daily. This initiative stems from the Jurong Island Renewable Energy Request-for-Proposal launched by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) and JTC in 2021.
This collaboration exemplifies the strong public-private partnerships driving innovation and facilitating the energy transition in Singapore.
