PowerACE is a pitching competition for start-ups either working directly in the energy sector or which provide support to companies in the energy industry; and aims to involve all players of the energy start-up ecosystem. The inaugural PowerACE 2018 saw 50 entries from 26 countries.
Twelve finalist start-ups were selected and given an opportunity to pitch and display their products and services at the SESUN (Sustainable Energy Start-Up Network) Innovation Arena located within the ACES exhibition hall. The arena is a platform for energy start-ups to share their innovations with investors and large corporations looking to invest in the sustainable energy ecosystem. The top-12 finalists presented their ideas and innovations based on the key theme of digital applications, decentralised systems & energy storage, clean energy, new frontier technologies such as AI, IoT and e-mobility solutions to a panel of C-suite executives.
